Amara Karapas a 2009 graduate of Saline High School will be teaching Super Stories at Two Twelve Arts Center this summer. Last week the Saline Middle School Girls Field Hockey team played their first game – ever. The 1st year program has 31 players and is coached by Saline High School players under the direction of Mr. Don Hess and Ms. Kristin Judge.

Senior Carolyn McLean has won an award through the 2009 Michigan Week Youth Photo Contest. Her photo of “Wellers” (below) won her the 1st place in the “Southeast” region category. Carolyn is a very gifted photographer that has been in Graphics, Yearbook, Digital Photography, and the Photo Club. We are all very proud of her.

The Saline Boys Golf team won the SEC Conference Championship on Tuesday at Wolf Creek Golf Course in Adrian. The team led the conference all season and yesterday’s championship win gave the title to Saline. Nick Areddy won the tournament shooting 74 and Peter Spittler finished 2nd shooting 75. Congratulations to Saline High students Colton Boyd, Dylan Davis, Jack Grundermann, and Michael Wright who were semi-finalist in the Courageous Persuaders video contest.
