Houghton (Young 5′s & Kindergartners), Harvest (grades 1-4), Woodland Meadows (grades 1-4), Pleasant Ridge (grades 1-4) and Heritage (grade 5-Age 14) have on site before & after school care for your child throughout the school year. Our program is also open on 1/2 days of school, in-service days, some holidays and spring break. Each program offers opportunity for children to engage in age-appropriately planned: arts & crafts, math & science and large group time on a daily basis. Other activities that are part of our daily schedule are: snack, indoor/outdoor play, homework time, quiet time and open choice time.
The Saline Community Education Before & After School Care Program is licensed by the State of Michigan and maintains compliance in child care center rules/regulations according to the Department of Human Services- Bureau of Children and Adult Licensing. The B&A Care program staff consists of a Program Director and support staff at each site that have been thoroughly screened, fingerprinted and are CPR/First Aid Certified. Each program director has a degree in education or has passed courses in Childcare Administration.
