Kaylee’s Favorite Book!

My favorite book of all time is ”The Princess Bride”.  The author is S. Morgenstern, and I read the ” good parts” version  abridged by William Goldman.  It isn’t your everyday fairytale, and it’s filled with love, passion, action, suspense, and life lessons.  It is a book that really teaches you to believe in the impossible with its clever writing.  The book is about Westley and Buttercup and their long trip to happily ever after.  Along the way there are sharks, a giant, The Cliffs of Insanity, a miracle man, a fire swamp, ROUS’s (Rodent Of Unusual Size), snow sand, an evil prince,  sword fights, The Zoo of Death,  and action galore!  (Boys – be forewarned – there is some romance thrown in.  Girls – expect a little pain and suffering too!)  Some of you may have seen the movie based on this book, but you’re missing out if you don’t READ the book.  There is a lot more character development, back stories, and details that weren’t included in the movie.   If you read this book, you’ll now exactly what to say if someone says to you,”Hello.  My name is Inigo Montoya.  You killed my father.  Prepare to die…”
